KCWC day…nearly all of them

I had grand plans of blogging all this week about my progress with my KCWC projects.  You know, daily “KCWC day 1” “KCWC day 2” etc. posts.
Yeah, that hasn’t happened.
I’ve been in an awesome sewing groove and didn’t want to stop to blog.  I have been Tweeting and Instagramming along the way, though.  I love seeing all the amazing projects and previews that pop up under the #KCWC hashtag.  Some pretty sweet stuff being created and I’ve had a great time adding to the mix.

I still have a couple of projects cut out that I haven’t yet gotten around to sewing together.  And there are still three more days left in the Challenge.  But here is what I’ve made so far this week:

Sleeveless hoodie, Henley top, tartan skinny jeans, green cords, ombre romper, and Greenpoint Cardigan

Why yes, I do like green. How did you know?

I’ll go into more detail about each item next week, but this Challenge has resulted in some of my best sewing ever.  I’ve tried new things and tackled long-feared techniques.  I’ve really tried to slow down and not rush each project.

I’ve also been making my own little tags to add to each item and I’m loving the tiny personal detail they add.

And this is what my kitchen has looked like all week

The rest of the house matches.
My family has been super patient and supportive of my sewing binge the past few days.  It’s been amazing, but definitely a good thing the week is almost over.   And honestly, I think I may be puttering out and don’t know that I’ll get around to the last couple of projects before the Challenge ends.   But it feels awesome to cross so many projects off my sewing to-do list.

That's an impressive line of clothes! I especially like the details on the pants.

Haha, you nailed it on that Halloween comment. I really should've had the foresight to order my Halloween fabric early and make costumes for kcwc! And I think I'm probably going to write the same thing on all your social media, but seriously. Those pants. Those pants!!!

PS: my Dec 19 baby has the same highchair in the same color :)

You might not have been blogging everything you made, but you've done plenty of sewing! Even with (over) an hour a day, I've only finished one little dress. So I say, great job! =)
