A few months ago I saw THIS tutorial over on Pretty Ditty for a “Stripe Play Maxi Skirt”. I put all other life on hold and made the skirt that same day.
How can I express in mere words the love I have for this skirt?
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve gone more than five days without wearing it this past summer. The pool, the park, the grocery store, lounging at home, date night, girls’ night. Seriously, friends, anywhere and everywhere, this skirt and me.
The material is jersey knit from Fabric.com. Jersey knit isn’t much fun to hem, so I just serged the hemline and called it good. The fabric looks like it’s striped orange and cream, but it’s really orange and white. In the white stripes are these funky metallic gold threads. They kinda sparkle. It’s fun.
