Anyway, pockets. The Book goes over A LOT of ways to do pockets. And even then, there are some it doesn’t touch on that I’d like to try. But hopefully by getting these all down, I’ll be confident and understand enough to try my hand at some other types later. This morning I did the first four pockets discussed in The Book:
-Patch Pockets
-Lined Patch Pockets
-Lined Patch Pockets with Facing
-Self-lined Patch Pockets
All are super easy and more or less the same. If I can make the time, I’m going to try to fit in another day of pockets in between today and next Wednesday . The Book goes over 11 different pocket styles/techniques and I really don’t want to spread that out over three weeks. If for no other reason than I’d really REALLY like to not come up with three separate pocket-based projects, especially over my son’s spring break and Easter. Plus, sleeves are right after pockets and I need to get to those so I can get my Spring Tops done for Made By Rae’s Spring Top Week. you know.
So on to Patch Pockets!
