Checking in: my skirt fits!

So how are your darts coming along?  I put four straight tappered ones into my pillowcase, resulting in a fab fitting skirt that not only did I wear to church yesterday, but recieved compliments on (from different people even!).  I also put up an almost lucid tutorial if you'd like to try to decipher my ramblings and make your own.

I have yet to practice any shaped tapered darts.  Don't tell.

But--da-da-da--I did a trial run on the tailor's ham and it turned out awesome.  I'm going to post a tutorial for you all to make your own most likely tomorrow. And since after Wednesday's Ham Party I'll have two hams, I think a giveaway for one of them may be in order.  So stayed tuned for that excitement.

More darts and tucks to be discussed later this week, and I think for Saturday I'm going to try out the gathering foot on my serger.  I'm not sure when my life turned the corner that would make that sentence interesting to me, but it did and I'm totally embracing it.

Happy Monday!

I'm excited about the serger gathering. Did you watch the instructional CD? I may have. More than once.
