Shaped Tapered Dart
As with Straight Tapered Dart, transfer all dart markings from pattern to wrong side of fabric (I forgot to mark my wrong side in the first picture. Seriously, great day today).
Snip ends of dartlines and mark 1/2 inch from dart tip.
Fold right sides together, matching dart ends and curving up to dart tip. Pin in place and mark stitchline, iff'n you want.
Sew things up stating at dart tip, along fold for a few stitches, following out along the curve of the dart and ending at snipped ends. Backstitch at begining and end. Clip threads.
Clip excess fabric to relieve stress. This will allow things to curve more smoothly. I think we all wish our curves were more smooth. Just me? Oh.
Press, on your tailor's ham or rolled towel, toward center or down. Make sure to only press on the wrong side. You'll pucker and mess up that smoothness if you try from the right side. Use the paper between fold and fabric to avoid bad impressions.

The Book says: "The Shaped Tapered Dart is a single dart that usually allows more fit in a garment."
