Seams is actually the third chapter in the Book. But having read through the first two chapters of how to thread a machine and various uses of various sewing tools, all I didn't know before that I now know is that I really want a tailor's ham and pinking shears. I've decided I'm going to attempt to make the tailor's ham. The pinking shears are on my wish list.
So, skipping to chapter three: Seams
This first week I'm going over the first six of 13 total in The Book: .
-Plain
-Plain with clean-edge finish
-Plain using a basting stitch
-Plain with bound edges
-Welt seam
-Open welt seam
So grab some scraps and let's get started on the lesson, shall we?
